Goat delivers strange creature

Sunyani, July 30, GNA- Hundreds of curious inhabitants at Dormaa Ahenkro including chiefs at the weekend, trooped to the premises of the District Veterinary Office to catch a glimpse of a goat alleged to have given birth to a creature with some features of a human being.

Mr Kwadwo Yeboah, the District Veterinary Technical Officer, said the creature delivered by the goat had the features of a human being except the feet that were those of a goat.

He said on July 26, two children brought a pregnant goat to the veterinary office to deliver.

The Technical Officer said the animal could not deliver by itself so he used his hand and brought out a black and white kid.

''There was still another creature inside the womb of the mother goat and when I touched it I realized it was in a different form. I was alarmed so I asked the children to leave till the next day for an operation to be conducted on the animal'', he said.

Mr Yeboah said he came to work the following day to meet the goat dead but insisted to operate it to find out what was in its womb. He said during the operation the strange creature with the features of a human being dropped and those around took to their heels.

Mr Yeboah dismissed speculations by some people that the animal might have been impregnated by a human being, saying as a Technical officer, he believed the goat might have lacked vitamins which caused the "deformity".
