Afrobeat singer Feli Luna has debunked suggestions the market will not accept her Afrobeat music.

According to her, Ghanaians will appreciate her dexterity in music because they are receptive and ready for new genres of music once they are good.

She was of the opinion that the idea that Ghanaians like one way music is nothing but a fallacy.

“Afrobeat has a future because Ghanaians are very receptive,” she told Bismark Boachie (DJ Premier) on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM on Saturday, 17 June, 2017.

“People always think Ghanaians like one way of music, but that’s a lie. And also the thing is, there is nothing like you have to do music to suit the market. The market doesn’t know what it wants. It’s an indecisive market. You bring a product and you sell it – that’s how the market works. Every time new things are being brought into the market, they are being promoted and then people like it. And so I think I’m a fresh wave, I’m a fresh vibe. I’m a fresh sound and individuals are always looking for something fresh…”

Feli Luna’s track Awola has received massive airplay and she is currently out with a new single she calls Afromagic.
