Ghanaians thought I will fade away after ‘Angela’ but I’m still very relevant in the game – Kuami Eugene brags

It’s damn easy becoming a musician in Ghana as getting a viral hit song is as cheap as getting Tuo Zaafi to buy in any Zongo community. As far as we’ve Ghanaians like Patapaa, Yaa Jackson, Sister Afia, et al, calling themselves musicians should tell you how cheap the field is.

Like earlier said, getting a hit song isn’t a problem in Ghana but consistency is the key. Remember Ghana has witnessed bunch of artists who couldn’t make any significant impact after registering their names with a hit song – Atom (Ye wo Krom), Eduwodzi (Yenko Nkoaa), Zigi (You Say Weytin), Nana Boroo (Aha ye de), Dr. Slim (Seke), et al.

But the above scenario is different to the music journey of the “Angela” crooner – Kuami Eugene of Lynx Entertainment. According to Kuami Eugene in an interview without DJ Reuben of Kumasi-based Luv FM fame, most Ghanaians thought he’ll fade away but thanks to the Ultimate Reality that he’s still very relevant in Ghana music industry.

Speaking to DJ Reuben who happens to be the host of Luv FM’s Drive Time, Kuami Eugene noted that his “Angela” song was very big taking into consideration it had more than 2million streams on Spotify. So, his dilemma was getting his next song becoming bigger than “Angela” and God’s grace, “Confusion” song did magic for him.
