Christmas every year comes with so much joy as families and friends reunite to spend some quality time.

25th of December is recognized by Christians across the world as a significant day, the day of birth of Jesus Christ who Christians believe is the son of God and their savior.

The day is marked in various ways, many visit various fun places after a special Christmas service to have fun, reflect over the happenings of the past year and make new plans for the incoming year. Also, yuletide is now celebrated by a large number of non-Christians around the world as a cultural event.

The underprivileged also benefit a great deal at this time when donations and presents are distributed to the homeless and orphanages.

GhanaWeb set out today to find out from some Ghanaians the significance of the day to them, their plans as well as expectations for the incoming year.
