Ghanaian makes billboard Top 4

Ghanaian musician, Vinz, and his partner, Nico have for the past 16 weeks maintained the most-envied 4th position on the world music platform, ‘Billboard Charts’.

The duo, Nico & Vinz, is a Norwegian based music group which was formed in 2009 by a Ghanaian, Vincent Dery (Vinz) and an Ivorian, Nico Sereba (Nico).

Since it gained international success in January 2014, Nico & Vinz’s hit single, ‘Am I Wrong’, has been ruling the 4th position in the Hot 100 category on the Billboard chart.

The group created their music as a fusion of genres as diverse as pop, reggae and soul.

Vincent Dery hails from Nandom in the Upper West Region but lives in Oslo, Norway, with his singing partner, Nico Sereba.

The song peaked to number 2 on the Norwegian Single Chart, to number 2 on the Danish single Chart, and number 2 on the Swedish Single Chart as well.

Early 2014, the group Nico & Vinz received the Europen Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) at the Eurosonic Festival, and as at May 6, 2014, ‘Am I Wrong’ had broken into the iTunes Top 10 singles chart as well.
