Over the years, a number of Ghanaian and Ghanaian-rooted footballers have proven that their talents do not only end on the football pitch.
From rap to Afrobeats, these stars have stepped into studios to embrace music, some as a passion and others as a second career.
Here’s a look at five footballers who switched to music.
1. Quincy Owusu-Abeyie
Now known as Blow in the music world, the former Black Stars winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie transitioned into music after his football career.

Before the switch he had been recording music for years and officially released his debut mixtape in 2020.
His style is heavily influenced by hip-hop culture in Amsterdam, where he grew up, and he performed with local rap groups before going solo.
2. Kevin-Prince Boateng
Musically known as Prin$$ Boateng with the dollar symbol, he is known for his extravagant lifestyle on and off the pitch. Kevin-Prince Boateng also ventured into music.
