Ghanaian Female Animator Comfort Arthur wins award at 2019 FESPACO

Ghanaian Female Animator, Comfort Arthur has won an award at the 2019 FESPACO

She won the Grand Prize at the first edition of Recontres Africanes Du Film d’Animation at 2019 FESPACO.

She has worked on several award-winning Ghanaian films whilst also editing top TV series.

Arthur also works as an illustrator and is working on two personal projects. Naughty Nii and Social Media Zombies.

FESPACO is a film festival in Burkina Faso, held biennially in Ouagadougou, where the organization is based. It accepts for competition only films by African filmmakers and chiefly produced in Africa.

The festival offers African film professionals the chance to establish working relationships, exchange ideas, and to promote their work.

Movies from Mali, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Tanzania, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mozambique, Morocco, Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa, Algeria and Nigeria were also nominated for the same category.
