The Miss World organization has announced winners of all the Fast Track events ahead of tomorrow’s finals.
Ghana’s Naa Okailey came third in the Beach Fashion event, beating strong contender, Philippines’ Megan Young, who was also announced as Top Model winner.
She had earlier on in the competition qualified for the finals, the only African in a list that had some tough competitors.
Naa’s Beauty with a Purpose presentation on Buruli Ulcer also made it to the list of top 10 selected projects.
The 63rd edition of the Miss World finals will take place tomorrow in Indonesia
Over 4000 people are expected to attend the event at the Nusa Dua Convention Center while an estimated 2 billion in some 180 countries would watch across the globe.
129 delegates from across the world including Ghana’s Naa Okailey Shooter, will battle it out for the grand title of Miss World 2013.
Ghana is attempting another shot at a title that has eluded her several times, only managing first placed positions in Fast Track events, also, an essential pick-me-up for contenders.
There is hope however as Miss Shooter’s efforts at this year’s event have boosted the country’s chances of making a huge impact at tomorrow’s finals.
The last few days has seen her and the other delegates put in some work towards the finals. They’ve been rehearsing, and perfecting their craft for an elaborate final.
The winner of this year’s event takes over from China’s Wenxia Yu.
