Ghana’s International Reggae musician Blakk Rasta, has stated dancehall made in Ghana needs to be identified in a unique way.

According to the outspoken personality, dancehall in Ghana needs more identity contrary to the trend we have now.

‘’Ghana dancehall needs more identity rather than what it is now. More African vibe should be infused in the beat’’, he disclosed during an interview with www.georgebritton.com.

Blakk Rasta even suggested a ‘nice’ African/Ghanaian name be found for the African version of dancehall in order to make the world recognize it.

Touching on the much debated VGMA Reggae/Dancehall category, Blakk Rasta stated ‘’Dancehall came out of Reggae and must be separated just as hiphop and hiplife were separated from Highlife though they are all related but not the same’’.
