Ghana Loses James Brown

The death of Godfather of Soul, James Brown has been Ghana?s huge loss.

Legendary James Brown agreed wholeheartedly to fly to Ghana to perform at our Golden jubilee celebrations. James Brown?s death follows the unfortunate demise of other soul singers, Luther Vandross and Gerald Levert.

Information from the offices of the Ghana @ 50 secretariats is that, Brown was contracted to come down to Ghana where his music has been an influence.

According to Mr. Kojo Bonsu, CEO of Agoo Magazine, an agreement was reached by the secretariat and the management of James Brown for the singer to perform in Ghana.

The unexpected death of Brown has therefore frozen the deal and organisers of the event is frantically rummaging for a worthy replacement.

James Brown died on December 25, 2006 of heart failure, less than two days after he had been hospitalized with pneumonia. He was 73 and left behind a widow Toni Rae Hynie, who was his back-up singer and a five year old son.

Toni has been allowed into the estates she lived with her husband after she was locked out after Brown?s death. Lawyers contend that the marriage between the two was illegal since Toni?s previous relationship was not annulled.
