The Gbewaa Palace In Yendi To Be Under A Stage Of Siege Again

In the year 2002, the Dagbon Gbewaa Palace was under a stage of siege and the Ya-Naa Andani Yakubu II was gruesomely assassinated. Also forty (40) loyal citizens, some were his Elders, were murdered too with impunity.

The perpetrators of that heinous crime are yet to be apprehended.

According to rumours, in Dagbon, there are plans to overthrow by assassination and violence the customarily installed Regent of Dagbon, Yakubu Andani Abudulai and his family.

The rumours have it that certain people in high positions in the ruling party and some Government functionaries have hatched out a diabolical plot and a grand scheme to enable the Dagbon Abudu Royal Family have access to the Gbewaa Palace, in Yendi, to perform the funeral of former Ya-Naa Mahamadu Abudulai.
