A Ghanaian man, David Appiah, is vying to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous speech by an individual.

As reported by citinewsroom.com, David, a senior resource manager and engineer, aims to begin his attempt on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the World Trade Centre in Accra.

He plans to deliver a speech lasting an extraordinary 100 hours, 10 minutes, and 10 seconds.

The current record is held by Ananta Ram KC from Nepal, who achieved a marathon speech rcord of 90 hours and 2 minutes.

At a press event at the Silver Star building in Accra, David stated that his attempt was aimed at motivating and inspiring the youth.

David joins a league of ambitious Ghanaians, including Afua Asantewaa (Sing-a-thon), Chef Faila (Cook-a-thon), and one-year-old Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, who is the current holder of the Guinness World Record for the youngest male artist.
