GT asked to increase raffle prizes

Nkawkaw, Jan. 8, GNA - The Ghana Telecom (GT) Company has been urged to increase prizes for its on-going "win-a-million-a-day" raffles to enable more winners to benefit from the raffle.

The call was made by clients of the GT at the second draw of the Eastern Region draw of the raffle at Nkawkaw on Wednesday. Ms Akua Nkansah Abankwah of Nkawkaw won the ultimate regional prize of one million cedis.

Used phone cards from GT's Telephone Exchange Centres at Koforidua, Suhum, Akim Oda, Akosombo and Nkawkaw were brought in for the draw. The Eastern Regional Head of the GT, Nii Amaa Fleischer-Brock, commended the public, especially it numerous customers, for the high patronage of the raffle and urged them to continue to purchase the company's phone cards for their local and international calls.

He said there would be three draws in each region before the national draw scheduled to come off in Accra by the end of the year. The third Eastern Regional draw comes off at Akosombo on January 22.
