GHAMRO always follows due process – Kojo Antwi

The board of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has insisted they are acting in line with the constitution of the organisation.

Amidst calls for accountability and transparency by a section the members, the board organised a forum aimed at addressing concerns of members. The board chairman, Kojo Antwi, stated that the board has followed due processes in the discharge of their role.

At the forum at the GNAT Hall in Accra, the chairman of the board maintained that every step taken had been in accordance with the laws governing the organisation.

According to him, the board in its bid to ensure transparency and accountability organised the first ever annual general meeting in Kumasi last year to render audited accounts to right owners in addition to other reviews.

He recounted that under his leadership, they have put in place measures to the benefit of ailing and aging members of the collective society.

Kojo Antwi added that his outfit had accounted for every money spent and would always act in the interest of members.

Some of the board members also addressed aggrieved members to further clear any doubt over allegations made against them.

The board urged members to remain calm and work assiduously with the board to turn things around. Some executives who were at the meeting include Abraham Adjetey, Ahmed Banda, aka Bandex, Diana Hopson, among others.
