Ghana's most celebrated comedian cum musician, Funny Face, is set to embark on a groundbreaking tour tagged, the "FUNNY FACE SCHOOL TO SCHOOL" tour.
Scheduled to take off from Friday, the 24th of February, the tour is geared towards creating awareness of the importance of environmental sanitation amongst the country's youth.
With this tour, Funny Face is billed to visit over 120 basic and Junior High schools across the Greater Accra Region, the Ashanti Region, Western Region and the Eastern Region.
The project, will see the ace comedian entertain pupils of the selected schools to some of his best rib cracking jokes whiles educating them on the essence of maintaining a clean environment as well as teaching them ways in which to keep their surroundings clean. A high point of each visit is expected to be the performance of his hit tracks “Banana” as well as his latest release and the favorite of many the children “Aponkye po mee.” Funny Face will be accompanied on each visit by representatives of Zoomlion Ghana, who will aid in demonstrations to the kids of how to keep a clean environment and the importance of doing so as well.
Some of the schools selected for the tour include, the Osu Cluster of schools, Christ the King International School, Lincoln International School and many others.
Over the years, Funny Face, known to many of the kids as "Chemu" from the hit television series, "Chorkor Trotro" has undoubtedly amassed a legion of loyal fans amongst the youth and is considered the ideal role model to influence their opinion and ideas; with this i mind, it is expected that the tour will bear positive fruit in encouraging the youth to develop an appreciation of the value of sanitation and perils of refusing to do so.
The Funny Face School to School tour is powered by Empire Entertainment and Zoomlion Ghana with support from Perfecto Noodles and over 120 basic and Junior High schools across the country.
