Fred Nuamah Loses His Brother

Actor and founder of Ghana Movie Awards Fred Nuamah has lost his elder brother, Emmanuel Kwablah Nuamah.

He was in his late 30s and died in a USA hospital at Lowell, Massachusetts, last week after a cancer ailment. Messages of condolence have since been pouring in from Fred’s friends in the showbiz industry.

Fred was at this year’s Cannes Films Festival in France when he got the unfortunate news. “I was at the Cannes when I received information that he died.

I wish I was with him before …but it is all good. God knows why things happen, they way do. I was supposed to be with him, but I also needed to be at the Cannes film festival to honour my obligations there,” he told NEWS-ONE yesterday.

NEWS-ONE sends its condolences to Fred and the entire Nuamah family. Fred Nuamah has gradually become a household name in Ghana and beyond. He is a jack of all trades. He is an actor, producer and artiste manager. He managed a number of Ghanaian artistes in the past as well as soccer and boxer stars including Joseph Agbeko.

He first started out as a radio presenter and went through the ranks to produce Daasebre Dwamena. He appeared in a number of Ghanaian movies as an actor before he decided to found Ghana Movie Awards.
