The auditorium of the National Theatre in Accra was filled to capacity as hundreds of theatre art lovers rushed to catch a glimpse of the hilarious comedy and stage play ‘The Ladder’

From all indications, the event went beyond the initial controversy that arose as part of the post ‘National Science & Maths Quiz’ (NSMQ) with the injunction that was placed on the main play by an Accra High Court.

Organisers of the play were hit by the injunction on the #NSMQ which was supposed to be the main act but Nyansapo did put up something great in replacement.

To the amazement of many, the new play which was arranged under rush circumstances rather produced the melodrama that met the expectations of all.

The rib-cracking and excitement was simply unstoppable as the audience were treated to a real fun-packed action.

In an interview with the famed stand-up comedian, Foster Romanus, who was also part of the cast, he said he was very disappointed and sorry for the injunction.

“We received a letter of injunction on the #NSMQ on Friday and we could not disappoint Ghanaians so we came up with ‘The Ladder’ which was to tell the story of Technical students and how most of them behaved but we promised to bring something special to Ghanaians in September’, said Foster Romanus

The play was strictly comical with a touch of an educational element and moral lessons which left patrons completely intoxicated with humour.

The event was produced by Nyansapo Productions in partnership with the National Theatre of Ghana and was staged on Saturday the 8th of July.

The show had two segments with the first premiere at 4:00 pm and the second show 8.00pm at the same venue.
