Femi Kuti to headline Kasapreko African Legends Night 2013

Patrons of music of African origin can start the countdown again, as proud organizers of the Alomo Bitters African Legends Night, Kasapreko Company Limited and Global Media Alliance, have announced Jazz and Afro beat living legend, Femi Kuti, as the headliner of the highly anticipated 3rd edition of the concert slated for September 28 at the Banquet Hall of the State House, Accra.

Destined to be a night full of glamour, this year’s edition will also feature an incredible lineup of homegrown veteran highlife artistes including, Amakye Dede, George Darko, and Ofie Kudjoe.

The artists billed for the concert have promised organizers; sponsors and patrons of the concert vibrant performances which would make them yearn for more.

Known in real life as Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti, the maestro has won the hearts of many with elaborative performances at mega shows over the years. The 51 year old multi-instrumentalist currently holds 3 Grammy Awards nominations to his credit.

For the past 2 years, the Alomo Bitters African Legends Night has celebrated musical icons from the continent and carved an event niche catered to the middle-aged and the young who have a soft spot for local African music.

Notable performers have included South Africa’s legend and first headliner of the concert, Hugh Masekela, Ghanaian ace Saxophonist Steve Bedi, Ben Brako, among others and a blend of artistes across Africa.

Every year, the Alomo Bitters African Legends Night houses and entertains 1,000s of fans with soothing, exciting, danceable African tunes.

This year’s event will be hosted by Ghana’s very own satirist KSM.
