For the past week, one Ghanaian ‘celebrity’ whose name has been on the lips of Ghanaians is the YOLO star actress, Fella Makafui.

Fella shot to fame when she was cast in the youth TV series, YOLO, where she played the role of a village uneducated young girl, Serwaa, who migrated to the city to find a decent living for herself.

She played her role so well that she became an internet sensation even before the series ended. She has gone on to feature in several movies after YOLO.

Fella Makafui for the past year has become known for her extravagant lifestyle. She drives an SUV, has a wine shop located at East Legon, lives in a plush 3 bedroom apartment and has undertaken several philanthropic works.

Most Ghanaians were still wondering how Fella came about her sudden wealth when news went viral that Fella’s alleged sugar daddy who sponsors her expensive lifestyle has dumped her and he is taking back all the goodies he bought for the young actress.

Fella Makafui and her management came out with an explanation that Fella is moving from that location (at her will) to a new location because the rent at the old place has been increased abnormally.

According to them, the landlord has increased the rent from GHS400 a month to GHS1,000 a month which they can’t afford. It makes sense if you actually look at it. GHS1,000 is too much an amount to pay for just a month shop rental.

Fella has since moved into a new shop and has already flaunted the place on social media to slum her critics and that is where it get’s interesting.

According to an ad cited by GHPAGE.COM on Tonaton.com, the cluster of shops among which Fella Makafui rented her new wine shop is being leased out for GHS2,000 a month. Yes, you heard me right!

Fella moved from the old shop which has been increased to GHS1,000 she couldn’t afford to a new shop being leased for absurdly GHS2,000.

This mathematic dey burst ma mind! If she couldn’t afford GHS1,000 a month, how was she able to afford GHS2,000 a month at her new place.

And this is where I ask my question: Could it be that she was actually kicked out by the said sugar daddy and to save face, she together with her management quickly secured a new place despite the outrageous price and framed up the rent increment to cover her mess?

And is fella telling us she bought her SUV, twice delivered a truckload of cement to the chief of her hometown, her several philanthropic works, and all the expensive lifestyle is being sponsored by selling wine? We all know she was living this big before she landed her Kasapreko deal and the others. Only Fella Makafui can answer these questions!
