Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has taken a trip down memory lane on her feature in the popular teenage series YOLO, revealing that she almost rejected the role of Serwa, the bread seller.
A role that became her one-way ticket to acting, fame, and popularity.
In a social media post made by the actress herself, Fella wrote about how that particular experience has shaped her career and who she is.
"11 years ago, I almost rejected a role that would later become part of my identity, Serwa. Sometimes, we don’t even realise that the opportunities we question are the very ones that will shape our journey.
"Looking back, I see growth. I see resilience. I see a woman who refused to give up even when things were uncertain. Every long night, every sacrifice, every lesson, it all counted.
"I’m grateful for how far I’ve come, and even more excited for what’s ahead," she wrote.
She also added a word of motivation to fans and other young individuals who aspire to do better.
"To every young person watching me: never let where you come from limit where you’re going. Your dreams are valid. Your story is still being written.
"Keep pushing. Your moment will come."
