Fashion designers have been blamed for the increasing spate of indecent exposure in the country which seems to be the catching up well with a section of the youth.

The growing phenomenon of the women partially naked walking major streets of the country in the name of fashion is fast becoming a norm raising concerns about morality.

But the leader and founder of Alive Gospel Church, Bishop Dr. Moses Gyewu, indicate that the country’s fashion designers are to blame for this negative development

Speaking with Koforidua-based Bryte Fm, he observed that some of the fashion designers follow instructions and styles suggested by their clients and in some cases recommended them turning a blind eye to decency.

He bemoaned the level of indecency that has engulfed even the church as a result of the proliferation of what he described as uncivilized fashion, blaming the situation for increasing cases of fornication, barrenness and late marriage among the youth.

The man of God, therefore, urged the youth to be decorous when it comes to their fashion sense and desist from blindly copying foreign cultures to the detriment of the rich African culture.

He welcomed proposals for the various churches to outline dressing codes to discourage indecent dressing.
