Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has stated that fame has not pressured him to compromise his originality but has rather pushed him to expand his creativity.
Speaking in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM on February 2, 2026, the musician explained that fame should be seen as a by-product of creativity, not the driving force behind it.
“Fame has not pressured me to dilute; it has rather inspired me to diversify. That’s the true purpose of creativity. Fame is just like the after result of creativity, so we thank God that our creativity is bringing us the result of fame,” he said.

According to him, allowing fame to dictate one’s creative direction can be detrimental to an artiste’s longevity.
“If you allow fame to now direct the creativity, we might lose it at a point,” he shared.
Stonebwoy further expressed gratitude for the growth of his brand over the years, highlighting how he and his team have evolved while staying authentic.
“I’m grateful that Stonebwoy is the one brand that you can say we have been able to expand our creativity and learn on the job, because it never used to be like this. We’ve been able to use that pressure to be able to diversify and here we are remaining original,” he added.
