FUSE ODG is biggest winner @ Urban Music Awards…Scoops 4 Awards

British-Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG was the big winner at this year’s Urban Music Awards in London last night, (November 22), taking home four awards including the coveted Best Artist prize.

The rising emcee, real name Nana Richard Abiona, beat the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Lianne La Havas and Rudimental to claim the evening’s top award, also collecting prizes for Best Music Video, Best Single and Best Collaboration for his Top 10 single ‘Antenna’ featuring former Fugee Wyclef Jean.

Abiona, who won Best African Act at last month’s MOBO Awards in Glasgow, had been nominated for a total of six categories.

Diplo, Laura Mvula and Avicii were also among the winners at the event, winning Best Producer, Best Female Artist and Best Electronic Act respectively, while grime emcee Ghetto was named Best Male Artist.

Kiss was awarded Best Radio Station, before London duo Krept and Konan were named Best Group at the event, attended by former Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik, X Factor contestants Kingsland Road and boxer Paul ‘Silky’ Jones. 2012 X Factor runner-up Jahmene Douglas, who performed at the event, won Best Newcomer.

The event was the 11th annual Urban Music Awards.
