Expensive beads don't shout - Leila Djansi advises

Ghanaian movie producer and director, Leila Djansi, has taken a swipe at the opulence that was displayed at the traditional and white wedding of Osei Kwame Despite’s son, Kennedy Osei and his wife Tracy Akosua Gyamfua Ameyaw.

Kennedy Asante Osei got married to his longtime girlfriend, Tracy, at Trasaco Valley near East Legon in a lavish ceremony on Thursday, February 13, 2020, and followed it with an extravagant white wedding at the Faith Presby Church at East Legon. The marriage ceremony was crowned with an eye-popping reception, held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

Leila took to Twitter to use a popular proverb to illustrate her point, saying that what was witnessed at the two events was only tantamount to noise making since good beads don’t rattle.

She added that people shouldn’t allow anyone’s show of wealth to make them think they are poor because if they (the Oseis) are truly rich, they wouldn’t have made all this noise.
