Empire Entertainment, MUSIGA and Zoom Lion clean up Accra

This is our country, our beloved motherland Ghana. No one can build Ghana. We have to do it ourselves.

As part of Ghana’s 50th Anniversary and the contribution of our quota to the development of Ghana, Empire Entertainment in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and Zoom Lion Waste Management took it upon themselves to clean up the whole of Accra on Saturday June 30.

Starting from the 37 vicinity at 7:00am, some musicians, loyal citizens, actors and actresses and music producers came in their numbers to help keep Ghana clean.

I’ve never witnessed such solidarity and unity amongst Ghanaian people like this before. From musicians to actors and actresses to loyal citizens, they all worked hand in hand to make this exercise a success.

Talking to , the Executive Director of Empire Entertainment, he said that this is an exercise that has two motives: to keep Ghana clean and to bring together people from all sectors of Ghana.

This exercise could not have been successful without the help of the President of MUSIGA, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, who made sure some musicians, actors and actresses like Inspector Bediako, Grace Nortey, Vivian Achor and the likes came to do their part.

At about 10:00am, all that I could hear were sirens from motor kids and state protocol vehicles. I looked round trying to find out what was going on and yes, there he was; The Vice President of Ghana had landed. Sandwiched by state bodyguards and press men, he was so full of smiles and in a happy mood to see what was going on. He encouraged the joint ventures to continue with the good work and promised them government’s support.

The next location was the streets of Novotel and its surroundings. Ending it all was a refreshment at the Kinbu Gardens where those present were treated to good local tunes.

Amidst the crowd was drumming and dancing from cheerful workers of Zoom Lion and staff of Empire Entertainment with musicians like Mzbel, 4×4, Chicago, Daasebre Dwamena, Borax, General Kokato, C Zar, King Ayisoba, King David, Awurama Badu, Teacher Boateng, Bandanna, and Adane Best helping out.

Good work done and remember the next location might be your neighbourhood so let’s join hands to help this exercise.
