A video has gone viral on Social media of the Elmina Chief, Nana Kodwo Coduah VI dancing to Shatta Wale’s hit track ‘taking over’

According to residents of the area, the video was taken during this year’s Bakatue Festival celebrated by the chiefs and peoples of Elmina in the Central region of Ghana. The festival, established at least as far back as 1847, is celebrated on the first Tuesday in the month of July every year sed to mark the beginning of the fishing season in Elmina

The chief of Elmina and the Paramount Chief of Edina Traditional area in the central region, Nana Kodwo Coduah VI Who is seen riding on a palanquin and dancing to the dancehall track, appears to deviate from the norm where chiefs are ushered into durbar grounds with the traditional dances.
