Eastern Region tourism awards to be held at Akosombo

Koforidua, Mar. 18, GNA- The Sixth Eastern Regional Tourism Awards ceremony is to be held at the Akosombo Continental Hotel, Atimpoku on Saturday, at which various tourism operators who excelled during the year would be recognised.

A release from the Eastern Regional office of the Ghana Tourist Board (GTB), said the award winners include the Akosombo Continental Hotel, Atimpoku, Volta Hotel, Akosombo, Little Acre, Aburi, Modak Royal Hotel, Pepease-Kwahu and the St James Group of Hotels.

The rest include Chris Caf=E9, Koforidua, Royal Botanic Gardens, Aburi, So Mei Sonka Chop Bar, Nkawkaw and Sra Memorial Bar, Somanya. The release, signed by the acting Regional Manager of the GTB, Mr Abubakar-Sadiq Braimah, said the ceremony would be under the distinguished patronage of the Omanhene of the Kwahu Traditional Area, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II, at which Sister Rita Marley of the Rita Marley Foundation will be honoured as the Tourism Personality of the Year.
