E.L, others for Hip Hop Festival @ Alliance Francaise

E.L, widely respected for his creativity and ability to churn out regular hits, is expected to deliver his finest performance on the stage during a six-day hip hop festival which kicks off today at the Alliance Francaise in Accra.

E.L would perform alongside Gemini, Xo Senavoe, Joey B, Kojo Cue, Pappy Kojo, C-Real, Dex Kwasi and a host of others.

These are talented artistes who do justice to every opportunity given them.

They have never left their audience disappointed, but rather, have them begging for more.

The six-day hip-hop festival opens today with a graffiti workshop by the French graffiti guru, Marko93, at the Alliance Française in Accra.

Considered one of the most talented artistes of his generation, he has carved a niche for himself while working on diverse projects.

In 1994, he invented calligraphism (a mixture of Arabic calligraphy and graffiti) and developed the light painting technique in 1999.

A dance workshop by the Martinique-based group MD Company would be organised for Ghanaian dancers at the Alliance Françasie on Wednesday November 19. The company would on Friday, November 21 perform ‘Hurlant Corps’, a piece that involves the tapping of innate energy to tell a moving story.

The festival would end with a performance by artistes from the label BBnZ and other rap musicians at the Alliance Française.

These include Kojo Cue, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Gemini, C-Real, Dex Kwasi, Xo Senavoe and others.

The French Embassy in Accra, Institut Français (Ghana) Alliance Française (Accra), Novotel Hotel, Ashfoam, BBnZ and others are sponsoring the event, which is set to attract diverse hip hop fans and artistes from Accra and beyond.
