An actor in the popular Ghanaian series ‘YOLO’, John Peasah, has responded to his colleague Fella Makafui following a recent viral video that sparked conversations on social media.
In the resurfaced interview, John Peasah, popularly known as Drogba, alleged that Fella Makafui had neither reached out to him nor visited him after he fell ill.
His comments reignited public debate about the bond between actors of the hit series and the support they show one another off-screen.
'We have been communicating' - Fella Makafui responds to Drogba's claims of abandonment
“Fella Makafui hasn’t reached out. When the issue started, she contacted Jeffery Nortey. She has my number, so Jeffery Nortey was surprised. Later, she contacted me using a different number and asked when I would be free. I told her I am always free, and since then, I haven’t heard from her,” Drogba stated.
Following this development, some social media users criticised both Drogba and Fella Makafui for various reasons.
In response to the backlash, Fella Makafui insisted that she had been in contact with Drogba recently.
“I hope this video is not recent because that would be surprising. We’ve been communicating lately for anyone asking,” Fella wrote.
Reacting to Fella’s comments in a TikTok post sighted by GhanaWeb on June 3, 2026, Drogba confirmed that the interview in question was an old recording.
'Fella Makafui has never visited me since I got ill' - Drogba discloses
However, he maintained that Fella Makafui has never visited him.
“During the interview, we were discussing the past, not the present. Please understand that. No, she never visited. That’s a fact, and I’ve come to accept it,” he said.
The YOLO actor also clarified that he does not feel entitled to anyone’s support and stressed that his focus remains on seeking medical help rather than generating controversy online.
“I am not entitled to anyone’s help. That’s part of life, and I understand it. I’m sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings. I came for solutions, not drama. Sorry if I offended anyone.
“I never knew this interview would spark another controversy, so I’ll say no more. Lesson learned. Right now, no one is talking about my health issue, only the controversy,” he added.
