Dream Child Concert will be historic…says Amoakohene

The Chief Executive Officer of Scratch Studios, Kofi Amoakohene, has promised Ghanaian music fans that the second edition of the Dream Child Charity Concert slated for March 22 will be historic and different from last year’s event.

He said the annual concert, which is being organised by the Dream Child Foundation and Scratch Studios “has got to a bigger level and better level.”

Kofi Amaoakohene stressed that the night would undoubtedly see the audience screaming for more from the performing musicians which include Osibisa, Becca, Ben Brako, Steve Bedi, Stephanie Benson and Paulette Broohm, all from Ghana.

Others are Dr Bone from South Africa, Paul Bilson from UK, Sabina Boyer from France, Yinka Davis, Kunle Ayo, Mama G, all from Nigeria, among others.

The CEO of Scratch Studios, who is the brain behind the event, promised that the event which had already attracted a large number of music fans from all walks of life would not just be a night of glitz and glamour “but something that has never happened in the history of Ghana’s music scene. Patrons will be treated to refreshing musical performances from some selected to local and international music icons.”

He disclosed that the rich experiences of all the stars, coupled with their uncountable hits, made them the perfect choice for the event, adding that Ghanaians should come and experience an extraordinary musical concert on March 22.

Kofi Amoakohene who commented on his outfit approach to the Dream Child Charity Concert this year said, “We are truly excited about the line-up for this year’s concert. We have gathered in one night and on one stage the best African talent and proven performers to give Ghanaians the concert of a lifetime. People can expect an award-winning concert this year.”

He further said the event would be an evening filled with live band music in a bid to promote and preserve the culture of Ghanaian music.

Dream Child Charity Concert last year witnessed amazing performances from both home-based and visiting international acts.

The Dream Child Foundation seeks to empower underprivileged African children to play important roles in the continent’s socio-economic development.

Proceeds from the first concert in 2012 went to the Children’s Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, and money was raised for the Child Development Centre at Apam last year.
