Drama prepares basic school children for 50th anniversary

Ho, Feb. 13, GNA - A drama titled " All involved" is being staged in some basic schools in the Volta Region to instil patriotism in school children as the nation celebrates the 50th anniversary of its independence.

The performance afforded children the opportunity to interact with leading actors and actresses in the country on issues such as the nation's history, governance and good social life. Eli-Dza Foundation is organizing the "theatre in the round" exercise with sponsorship from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview Miss Edinam Atatsi, an ace actress and coordinator of the programme, said children learn faster through entertainment, thus the need to use drama as an effective education tool.

She said it was expected that through drama, indiscipline among children would be curbed and corruption among the youth "flushed out before they turn 50".
