Dr. Drilla and Adoma release ‘Yenkor’ remix

The Rap Kingpin on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science (KNUST) campus Dr. Drilla is out with a new hit song ‘Yenkor’ remix featuring sensational artiste Adoma.

Speaking on Ultimate FM’s Brunch hosted by Naa Klordey Odonkor, the vibrant artiste explained that he chose to collaborate with Adoma because of her great sense of lyrics when it comes to music.

‘Ok you know those up there, are up there, but Adoma is like a new sensational, she’s so smart, she has great lyrics when it comes to music and the technique. Her style of music is different, you could see that when you look at the other musicians like Efya, Mzvee and the others, they are doing more of variety music, but she has concentrated more on that kind of afro jazz. That kind of music you know is in tune with our old highlife, you know that kind of song and I love such songs. I had to work with her, and I like the song as well, so we needed a little bit of sides,’ he said.

Dr. Drilla who premiered the ‘Yenkor’ remix on Ultimate Brunch told his fans to expect another hit song from him featuring Reggie Rockson affectionately called ‘Oseikrom President’.

‘Let’s keep our fingers crossed, we wouldn’t want anything to come out now, but then you should expect something like a major project very soon. Release of an album is also a surprise, we will hold on to that, until we get one or two stuffs down, but then expect Oseikrom President on it, just like a quick one, now we are talking to one or two people and management from one angle to the other, so let’s see,’ he hinted.

He debunked assertion that he is a photo copy of M.anifest, saying it’s rather the choice of words that are similar and not the voice.

‘They are saying I have a little bit of Manifest, I think it has to do with the choice of words, and not the voice or so ever, but then I think is the choice of words that happens to be similar and the intelligence level you know is that high, so it happened to be linked up with M.anifest,’ he explained.

He called on his fans to keep listening to his songs.
