Founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has advised Christians to adopt the habit of listening to other genres of music apart from Gospel.

Speaking on Adom FM, the prophet said some secular music contain inspirational lyrics and contents and must be enjoyed.

He called on Christians to be opened-minded when it comes to their choice of music, insisting they must not be “one-sided”.

According to him, so far as the song inspires, there is nothing wrong if Christians listen to it.
“It doesn’t matter the genre of song, inspirations can be taken from every song. Some may dance to the beat, others may listen to the words but in all bear in mind that inspirations can still be derived from it,” he said. He revealed that he is a huge fan of Shatta Wale’s song titled “bie gya”, saying the track really inspires him.

“There is this Shatta Wale song that gives me more inspiration and teaches me to move on in life and that is ‘Bie Gya’”, Prophet Badu Kobi disclosed. “‘Taking Over’ is also one of his songs that tells me to take over in life. These are the songs that Christians should listen and take inspiration from it and stop condemning people who listen to such songs.”
