Ghana’s versatile rapper Kwame Nsiah Apau known in entertainment circles as Okyeame Kwame has called on highlife music fans and other entertainment critics to welcome the decision taken up by Ofori Amponsah to release new highlife song on the market.

Mr. Franklyn Wiafe Agyekum the Manager of Highlife –artiste-turned pastor Ofori Amposah has revealed that his artist is about to release a highlife song on the market.

He revealed that the singer will remain a pastor and still give back to his fans.

According to him, singing about love between a man and a woman is accepted by God, is biblical move but not a satanic one.

Wiafe said the modus operandi of Ofori will transform unlike his previous life, “If Ofori used to smoke and sip alcohol before performing on stage or compose music this time it will change’’.

Sharing his personal view on the development last Sunday on Ashh fm Entertainment Zone, Rap Doctor welcomed the decision taken by the celebrated musician to release high life song and still remain as a Pastor.

‘’I think he will not ignore the evangelism work he doing; he is in to release a highlife song which will differ from his old lyrical contents, the spirit of God has made him known the difference between love song and sacrilegious music’’

“I once met Ofori at Appietus studios in Accra and I told him on a lighter note that eeei Ofori do you think you can survive with this move you are taking but he was confident that he will not return to highlife’’

Okyeame Kwame said he has missed Ofori Amponsah and he is very excited that Ofori is returning to the highlife scene.

He commended him for taking such a brave decision to create a difference in the lyrical content of highlife music in Ghana.

"If ofori song comes out and is a love or social song that is fill with spirituality , I think it will be play to repent people, because I don’t see the reason why gospel songs are been play at churches ,what for and to repent who? Those there are already following the Christ life".

Okyeame Kwame pleads to music lovers not to force the highlife legend to stay in corner where he is not comfortable with.
