Did Nshonaa Musik include ‘producing moral songs’ in his 2014 music resolution?

Nshonaa Musik is one of the astounding beat makers in Ghana who has produced quite an interesting number of reigning songs since 2012 when he joined the sound engineering team in the music industry. He has ‘Amadaa’ and ‘Krynkman’ as his signature on every song he produces.

He is practically appended as the creator of the world acclaimed Ghanaian dance, Azonto after the release of Sarkodie featuring EL’s ‘U go kill me’ and ‘Dangerous’ which respectively received massive airplay.

Prior to these songs, Sarkodie was crowned as the ‘King of Azonto’ which emanated with so many controversies surrounding it as Stay Jay and Gasmilla in 2013 claimed to have been the main source of ‘Azonto’ becoming a sort after in both songs and dance respectively.

Such songs produced by Nshonaa include ‘U go kill me’, ‘Dangerous’ by Sarkodie featuring EL, ‘Stupid music’ by Sammie Blacc, ‘Kaalu’ and ‘Obuu mu’ by EL, ‘London Bridge’ by 4x4, ‘Vera’ by D-Black featuring Joey B, ‘Moko ni’, ‘Sokode’ and ‘Aluguntugui’ by Keche, ‘Cigarette’ and ‘Tonga’ by Joey B and ‘Wa tricky wo’ by Stranjah, a few to mention.

Indeed, all these songs made hit receiving massive airplay on various media platforms but is that all music is about? Music as described is to entertain, educate and enlighten the human soul yet in this generation nothing such matters.

The brain is much focused on the dance moves to the beat which relatively is a contributor to good music than the content of the music. So why then blame the youth for indecency and vulgar languages when persons supposed to be educating them, are ignorant?

Not that I dislike Nshonaa but the kind of songs he produce although they receive massive airplay but what occurs to him whenever he sees the immorality drift among the youth although as usual, somebody will say ‘it is what the youth want besides it is the reigning trend in this generation’?

Are we going sit and fold our arms and ignore our culture all in the name of trend and later blame our leaders for the immorality pouncing in the country?

Very unfortunate for the human nature, it most a times never see good reasons to alert people on the wrong path they are going yet being judgmental whenever they go way off the point is something humans are very good at.

With no doubt, he is among the few extraordinary beat makers in the country as he is said to have absorbed the Ga ‘Kpanlogo’ and ‘Jama’ rhythms which he invents in his undisputed beat making ability but he must as well permeate moral and lifelike lyrical contents on those remarkable beats he creates.
