Deportee Found Naked With Brother's Wife

Mr. Raymond Erskine, a 51-year old sand and stone contractor of Nungua, Accra thought he was being a responsible and concerned member of the family when he invited his unemployed brother to stay in his house while searching for a gainful job.

Surprisingly, that honest invitation has turned into a nightmarish experience for him, as his blood brother, Isaac Kojo Erskine has allegedly ended up in bed with this (Raymond) newly married wife. Indeed, unknown to the contractor, his brother and the lady at the centre of the sex saga, Joanna Otoo, 30, had been in a relationship before and therefore saw their meeting again as an opportunity to continue from where they left off.

Presently, Mr. Erskine has thrown both Joanna and Isaac out of his house and even threatened to sever all family ties with the only brother while other members of the family and friends try to resolve their differences amicably. Speaking to the P&P, the contractor related that he lost his wife with whom he had two kids about three years ago and got married to Joana, who hails from their hometown, Mankessim, in the Central Region, in January this year.

He stated that before the new wife could move into his house, he had already invited the brother who had been deported from Portugal and was residing in the family house at Mankessim to come and stay with him. According to him, although he personally did not see anything strange about the relationship between the brother and wife, some of his neighbours kept warning him on the confounding movement of the two, especially in his absence.

Erskine stated that on September 30, 2005 he left the house at about 11am for a meeting which was to last for about five hours, adding, ?when I was leaving, my brother had gone to Accra so it was only Joanna who was in the house. He said that the meeting did not come on so he got back to the house only to meet the most horrific spectacle of his life. He allegedly met the wife and brother naked in the bathtub together.

Erskine further alleged that while she broke down in tears and pleaded for forgiveness, the brother shocked him further when he told him that Joanna had been his lover for a long time but he could not gather courage to tell him when he wanted to marry her. Both admitted having cohabited together on several occasions when he was out of sight. When P & P reached Joanna for her comment, she confirmed the incident and stated that she did not know Isaac, her ex-boyfriend was the brother of her new husband until she moved into his house.

She said that though they broke up when Isaac travelled out of the country, they ?lighted the fires? again when they met. She attributed her unfaithfulness to the devil. Isaac could however not be reached for his comment as his enraged brother had thrown him out of the house.
