Accra, July 30, GNA - A 17-member delegation of seasoned actors and relatives of the late Nana Bosompra II, an accomplished playwright, director and producer of television drama Sitcoms have called on Mr Alexander Asuman-Ahensah, Minister of Chieftaincy and Culture, to inform government of his demise.
A statement issued by the Ministry in Accra said Mr Amankwa Ampofo, a broadcaster and the spokesman for the delegation, said the government was being informed because of Nana Bosomprah's contribution to the promotion of the arts.
Mr Asuman-Ahensah said the deceased played great and important role in the creative arts industry.
He sympathised with the delegation and assured them of government's support and assistance towards the burial and final funeral rites.
The late Nana Bosomprah, 65, who died on Saturday, June 26 at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and would be buried on Saturday, July 31 in Accra.
Some programmes the deceased produced include Osofo Dadzie, Obra and Cantata shown on Ghana Television (GTV)
He started his career in theatre arts from the 1960s.
