The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who also doubles as the Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Authority, Sammi Awuku has urged the Ambassadors of the authority to use their positions to project the vision of the Board and the new employment opportunities the Agency is offering to the teeming unemployed Youth of our Country.

His comment follows trending pictures of one of the YEA Ambassadors' visit to the residence of former President John Agyekum Kufuor on 3rd July 2019.

Wendy Shay took to her Instagram page to post the photo of her and the former president with the caption: “Finally met H.E. Ex president Kuffour” #wendyshaytotheworld #rufftown #ShayGang and the post instantly picked up on social media with a lot of people asking questions.

But Mr. Awuku reacting to this on his Facebook Wall stated that; “the image put out there was definitely not the kind of publicity and the feedback the Board was expecting after the visit of the YEA Ambassadors and Management to Former President Agyekum Kufuor.

He appealed to management to ensure that Ambassadors stick to the Highest Level of Professionalism when paying such courtesy calls.

“Let’s be focused and Not Major on the Minors as we rally around to provide jobs for the many unemployed Youth of our Country,” the post added.

Meanwhile, Miss Wendy Shay has also taken to her Instagram handle and has rendered an unqualified apology to His Excellency the former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the board and Management of the Youth Employment Agency for the negative impression that her action might have caused them.

Definitely not the kind of publicity and feedback the Board of YEA expected after the visit of the YEA Ambassadors and Management to Former Prez. Kufuor.

Management must ensure that Ambassadors stick to the Highest Level of Professionalism when paying such courtesy calls.

Management must also ensure that the Ambassadors use these visits to project the very vision of the Board and Project the new employment opportunities the Agency is offering to the teeming unemployed Youth of our Country.

Those willing to cooperate should be supported and welcomed and those unwilling to go by these standards MUST be shown the exit.

Let’s be focused and NOT Major on the Minors as we rally round to provide jobs for the many unemployed Youth of our Country.
