Davido on Cloud 9 after winning “Best African Act” at #MTVEMA

Nigerian superstar, Davido is on cloud 9 right now; and it’s not only because he has 30 Billion in the account (although that doesn’t hurt!).

The singer walked away with the “Best African Act” at Sunday Night’s MTV Europe Music Awards which took place in London, England.

Davido edged out competition from the likes of Babes Wodumo, Nasty C and his compatriot, Wizkid, to walk away with the biggest African prize on a night that celebrated the success of global music.

Davido shared his excitement at winning the big prize on the night and he dedicated it to those who made it possible for him: “Thank you MTV for this amazing Award. I’m truly honored.

To be recognized at home is one thing, but for your work to be celebrated overseas is a whole other level! I want to thank my team who work tirelessly for me, my family and of course all my fans – you made this happen! This award belongs to you!”
