Dansoman comes alive for Bavaria “Big in Ghana”

The quarter-finals of the 2013 Bavaria “Big in Ghana” is here!! There can be no doubt that in Dansoman the crowd had more than doubled since the last show; making it by far the best attended so far this year.

The atmosphere was electric as the audience waited to see their favourite acts perform. Once again, hosts Pope Skinny and Kwame Bee wasted no time in introducing the nine talented underground artists to the crowd.

7.30, the youngest act in the competition this year also proved to be the most popular as he walked away with the ‘Best Performance of the Night’ title. King Lucas (who gave Bryte a run for his money in the 2012 contest) and Efo Chameleon were also crowd favourites.

Chameleon’s unique brand of comic rap had ensured that smiles and laughter rang out outside Jovix, Dansoman.

Bavaria Big in Ghana is known for attracting the very best talent that Ghana has to offer and so despite feedback from Brand Ambassadors Wanlov the Kubolor of the FOKN Bois, Yaa Pono and spoken word artist, Mutombo da Poet the audience found it quite difficult to choose between the eight acts.

Pope Skinny and Kwame Bee embarked on several elimination rounds before the final five acts 7thirty; Razignal, Bukum Dancehall, Efo Chameleon and King Lucas were selected.

The next quarter final returns to Abrantee’s Spot on Friday 15th November in Abeka at 6.30pm. The final of the competition will take place on 29th November 2013 at the Obra Spot inside Circle with live performances from FOKN Bois, Yaa Pono, Bryte Micnificent and Efya.

Voting now happens live with prizes such as a Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Headphones and a wristwatch for the most active texters.

Bavaria’s Big in Ghana is supported by Kasapreko, the sole distributor of Bavaria.
