The raging controversy over who has the right to bury the mortal remains of renowned highlife musician Daasebre Ahuofe Gyamena is far from over as there are reports of two separate funerals for him.

Whereas the maternal family insists it is their right, the paternal thinks otherwise and has vowed to go ahead and perform his funeral arrangements with or without his body.

Latest information reaching ultimatefmonline.com however indicates that both last week reached a consensus after the matter was dragged to court by one of the parties.

The maternal family of the late highlife musician has announced that the mortal remains of the late musician will be laid to rest on November 26 at Anomabo Ndasiman in the Central Region.

But Mr Agyemang who speaks for the paternal family disclosed on a Kumasi-based radio station that though they have relinquished the remains for burial to the maternal family, the Grand final funeral rights will be performed in Koforidua regardless of the funeral arrangements made by the maternal family.

Daasebre Gyamenah died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Friday, July 29, 2016.
