DKB DKB

Ghanaian comedian, DKB born Derrick Kobina Bonney won’t let Nigerians ‘go scot free’; trolling is what he has served them on twitter over what he says is their distinct ability to copy Ghanaians in everything they do.

According to the popular comedian, Nigeria as a country has been imitating Ghana’s inventions and creativity for several years but always fails when it comes to implementation.

Outlining the instances where Nigeria has copied Ghana, the comedian posted a video on Twitter saying;

“ Eeei Nigeria everything Ghana dey do ona wan do some, Jollof you wan do some, we do azonto ona say alingo . Now “Year of return” you want to do your own some. Okay! find a nice name like Home coming 2020, Visit Nigeria 2020 or The Returning Year 2020. Nigeria! what is the “Door of Return”? so you actually had a committee to come up with “ Door of Return” wow I can imagine that committee meeting. He teased.

Background

The government of Nigeria launched it’s latest initiative ‘Door of Return’ following Ghana’s successful ” Year of Return ” which saw many African Americans and other superstars from the diaspora visiting the country to explore and have fun.

The event was also to mark 400 years since the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

The government of Ghana recorded very high numbers of tourists and it also estimated that the programme will fetch the country about $1.9.

Nigeria has also launched its own version with an interesting name; ” Door Of Return “.

This latest development has generated a lot of reactions from social media. And first on the list is DKB.
