Many Ghanaians were heartbroken last night when the Ghana Black Stars lost their round of 16 game to Tunisia. It was an epic battle of supremacy as both sides fought to the final whistle but the North African side went through to the next stage by winning 5-4 on penalties.
One Ghanaian who was very crushed by the outcome of last night game is Comedian DKB. Before the tournament started, the comedian, born Derrick Kobina Bonney, place a Ghc 4000.00 wager on the black stars that they would win the trophy.
With his heart crushed and the huge amount of money gone, DKB shared a video on his social media platform to express his pain and regret. In the video he lashed out his frustration on the referee for poor officiating, on the coach Kwesi Appiah and Caleb Ekuban.
“The First time I decided put my confidence in the Black Stars and stack my bet, Ghc 4000.00 is gone, I could have used it for something profitable like for charity. I do know why Kwesi Appiah waits till the last 5 mins to effect change. For the referee he just came to display xenophobia on the field as for Ekoban Ghanians would deal with him” the comedian said in the social media post.
The Black Stars of Ghana were eliminated from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations by Eagles of Carthage of Tunisia in the round of 16 stage. They went through by beating Ghana 5-4 on penalties.
