The election is fast approaching so the political parties in the country are busily approaching some influential Ghanaian celebrities to help push their policies into the throats of their fans.

Few of the stars have already declared their support for the two leading political parties in the country, NPP and NDC and the others with many keeping mute.

Ghanaian comedian, DKB real name Derick Kobina Bonney has revealed that he said no to the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress when both contacted him to help in their campaign.

The King of Ghana comedy at a press launch last Friday to brief the media about his one-man comedy show, “Point Of View” slated for July 9 disclosed that he did not accept their offer because he wants his career to fly up.

“Yes they have but I had to turn it down even though it wasn’t a small thing. I have to keep the focus because at the end of the day we are still going to have Gh comedy with or without an election.

We hit both political parties so if you allow one political party to shut you up then it means you cannot talk about their flaws. I just want to be in the middle so that I can fire anybody at any time.

I don’t want to take the risk and besides the image is new. I don’t want people to start saying that when we hit small we’ve started campaigning for political parties.

I want the comedy genre to be matured before we can even venture into politics.” This was an answer to a question Zionfelix.net asked if any political had knocked on his door for his help.

DKB’s upcoming comedy show, “Point Of View” expected to happen at the National Theater will hosts other comedians like Foster Romanus, James Brown, Jacinta, Ajeezey,OB, Khemicals and many others with the special appearance from KSM and Afia Schwarzenegger.

Musicians billed for the July 9 comedy show are reigning artistes of the year, E.L and VRMG boss, Edem. Tickets for the show are selling at Gh50.
