A heated exchange unfolded on social media between comedian DKB and New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Dennis Miracles Aboagye after the latter commented on economic claims made by former President John Dramani Mahama.
The online clash began when Miracles Aboagye reacted to a Joy News fact-check report that analysed Mahama’s statement during the 2026 State of the Nation Address, where he claimed his government had created over 1 million jobs in the first three quarters of 2025.
The report, instead, noted that only 690,000 jobs were created within that time period.
Aboagye described President Mahama as a “liar” and branded the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government “a complete scam” that has disrupted progress begun under the previous NPP administration.
“He has been lying from his days as Vice-President and he continues with the sweet talk and deception unabated.
“The entire NDC Party and Government is a Complete scam and a rude interruption to the country’s progress. No work, just make up and settings… What a waste!!!” he wrote.
Responding to Aboagye’s post, DKB defended the NDC’s record, sharply contrasting economic indicators under President Mahama with those during the last NPP administration.
“A ‘liar’ who reduced dollar from 18cedis to 10 cedis, inflation from 54 to 5.4%, fuel prices from 22gh to 11 cedis. Versus.
“A so called truth sayer who supervised Ghana's economy crash down to dollar at 18gh, fuel at 22gh, and inflation 54% etc,” he responded.

Miracles Aboagye replied by urging DKB to “stick to comedy,” questioning the source of the figures the comedian cited and pointing to challenges he says remain under the current government.
“Stick to comedy guy… Where did u get those figures u just throw about from?? And to think I can’t even tell you to get serious… Teachers arrears counting to 15months. 1 million cocoa farmers have a haircut. Electricity cost out of the roof.
“And you want to talk ?? Goan sit at the back and keep quiet,” he replied.
DKB rebutted by calling Aboagye’s “stick to comedy” comment denigrating and asserted that the intelligence of comedians exceed those of political communicators.
“Stick to comedy? very denigrating, am I surprised? it's the nature of your party/people to resort to insults. Dennis Miracles, I swear, you're not my level at all in intellect, I know book pass you 100 times. The IQ needed for comedy is way higher than IQ needed for your job,” he fired back.
