DJ DADDY OSEI, BROOKLYN'S PIONEER DJ TELLS HIS OWN STORY

Brooklyn, NY -- My real name is Osei Kwame. It all began when I was in St Paul Technical
School at Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region. By then I was an Entertainment
Prefect and I loved listening to music all the time so I acquire d a
Cassette Tape recorder, went out occasionally on the weekend and played
music for people that I knew.

I finally came to the United States of America in 1996 and while in the
States, my wife's nephew (Papa Bills of Adom 106.3 F.M Station Ghana)
encouraged me to keep the music flowing in the U.S.

While in New York (Brooklyn) I met one top DJ by the name of 911. DJ 911
helped me buy DJ equipment and also allowed me to follow him to events,
where I got to watch how he mixed the music and sometimes got the chance to
DJ with him. After gaining some experience and adding it to my existing
knowledge, I started playing at house parties and then advanced to bigger
gatherings in the Brooklyn area.

The following year I bought more DJ equipment which allowed me to play at
bigger venues. Soon afterwards, I started having a following of fans due to
the way I mixed my music. My fans started calling me DJ DADDY OSEI of
Brooklyn and I have had that name ever since. "

I have been in the music entertainment field for 9 years and I will
encourage the young ones up and coming to be patient and to learn from the
pros. If you are a DJ and you have the ability to keep people dancing on
their feet all night, then that is perfect !!!!
Professionally, I am into digital printing in computers. Personally, I am
married to my beautiful wife and the mother of my children, Sister Atta,
who is also my sound engineer. I thank God for my children and also helping
me do this job.

A big thank you goes to the legendary Mr.CNN (World Renowned
Photojournalist/Media Consultant), Gilbert Aggrey (Abeiku Santana of Adom
106.3 FM Station Ghana), Papa Bills of Adom FM, Koforidua Brothers (Mr.
Mawuli Aheto of Tema Community 7), Big Hashim of Boogie Downtown Nima
Productions; New York, Brooklyn fans, and most of the North America DJs I
have played music with for making me who I am today, Jah Bless.
