Cultural ambassador urges children to uphold culture

Accra, Aug. 4, GNA - Children should take culture very seriously in order to sustain and protect their heritage, Nana Kwabena Baah Boakye, an ambassador of Mac Tontoh and the Kids Cultural Awareness Project, said on Wednesday.

A press statement signed by Mr Sam S. Adams, Publicity Officer of House of Entertainment, said there would be a bright future for the preservation of the Nation's culture if cultural studies were re-introduced in schools.

Nana Boakye said children should be encouraged to see their heritage as a pride and advised parents to teach children some of the basic cultural values during holidays.

He said Mac Tontoh and The Kids would hold a Cultural Fiesta at the Centre for National Culture in Cape Coast on September 25. Mac Tontoh is a member of Osibsa, a Ghanaian-Caribbean band.
