Ghanaian hiplife musician Criss Waddle known widely for his hit single Ayi and his affiliation to record label R2Bees was nearly swindled by an imposter who claimed to be CEO of Black Avenue Music, D Black yesterday according to an account narrated by the artist.
Although he was neither swindled nor duped of any amount, Criss Waddle who seemed surprised at his experience took to social networking site Twitter and made this known.
Criss Waddle whose intent was to book a studio session with D Black shared the story saying; I can’t believe I spoke to an imposter today claiming to be @DBLACKGH and we arranged for studio session herr Ghana…
He went ahead to say; Impersonation is a Crime though lol… It is however unknown if he indeed dialed a wrong number or was misinformed on who he was talking to.
This experience triggered loads of jokes amongst industry colleagues including D Black himself who passed one on it saying; Sigh.. Ghanaians come on now pls.. U gonna meet him dressed up in a D-Black costume or wetin? Lmao!!
