Reggae-Dancehall Musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has instructed the general public to book an appointment with him if they wish to use his name or his Reign brand for business.

According to him, this will enable him to know such a person as a business partner and also know what his percentage will be in that business.

Shatta Wale in a Facebook post indicated that most people who are not really his followers want to just tarnish his brand, so he is now going to be strict on those using his name on social media.

“Now am going to be strict with guys using my name on here cuz I see many who are not really my followers just want to tarnish the brand and just creating pages, products etc for their own dubious means...If you want to do business with my name or the reign brand from henceforth...Book an appointment with me and let’s talk money so I will get to know you as a business partner...That way we can all grow...” the post reads.

It has been a common practice in the country where many people are merchandising brands of celebrities for their personal gains without these celebrities knowing those behind the products being sold outside to the public.

Whereas in some jurisdiction, celebrities need to give their consent before any merchandise is produced with their name or brand, the same cannot be said in Ghana as their labels are often misused.
