Comparing Shatta-Sark and Sark-Mini: Which side are you

Before we go on, we would like to big up Sarkodie for being the smartest artiste in Ghana for the past 5 years. He has managed to stay relevant amidst the beef and controversy that surrounds him occasionally to shine amongst all the musicians.

Since we are in a dancehall season this year, it’s very wise for a non-dancehall artiste like Sarkodie to associate himself with the Dancehall kings. Among the top dancehall artistes in Ghana are Shatta Wale, Samini, Stonebwoy, Jupitar etc. but Shatta Wale and Samini’s beef has been highly attributed with the success of Dancehall music in Ghana.

Sarkodie being a rapper could have failed in this dancehall era but he continues to shine thanks to his earlier affiliation with Shatta Wale. Days ago, he wowed everybody with a surprise song called “Love Rocks”, a reggae song with Twi raps produced by Killbeatz.

The song has once again sparked the controversy between Shatta Wale and Samini as both camps are claiming superiority over each other with their respective collaborations with Sarkodie.

Whilst Shatta Wale’s camp rubbishes Samini and Sarkodie’s song, Samini’s camp is also putting “Dancehall Commando” and the “Megye Wo Gurl” songs through dirt.

So our question of the day is, whose side are you? Shatta-Sark or Sark-Mini?
